Jeanette Marie Hanley: Dancer

Jeanette Hanley grew up in Denver, Colorado She received her training in Denver, the performing arts school of Virginia, San Franciso Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, and Feld Ballet, all on full scholarships. She is presently dancing with Milwaukee Ballet. She has also danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, American Repertory Ballet, and was a principal with Hartford Ballet for six years. She is also a principal guest artist with Arka Ballet in Washington DC. In February 2003, she will be featured on PBS in a documentary about Anna Karenina.

Her classical full-length repertoire includes: Anna in Andre Prokovsky’s "Anna Karenina", Myrta and Giselle in "Giselle", Swanhilda in "Coppelia", Aurora in "Sleeping Beauty" and Mina in Dracula. Some of her repertoire also includes, Paquita Pas De Deux, Don Quioxte Pas De Deux, Corsaire Pas De Deux, 2nd and 3rd act pas de deux from Swan Lake, and leading roles in Balanchine’s Prodigal Son, Tchaikovsky Pas de deux, Apollo, Four Temperaments, Western Symphony, and Serenade, Choo-San Goh’s, Birds of Paradise, and In the Glow of the Night, Simon Dow’s Wolfgang Dance, Galileo, About to Fall, Anthony Tudor’s, Lilac Garden and Pillar of Fire, Fernand Nault’s Nutcracker, and Carmina Burana, Emilia in Moor’s Pavane, and Nacho Duato’s Duende. She has also danced principal roles in ballets by William Forsythe, Nils Christie, Alonzo King, Mark Godden, Kirk Peterson, Graham Lustig, Jean Grand-Maitre, Roudolf Kharatian, Septime Webre, Kevin O’Day, Bournonville, and Trey McIntyre.
